Born in 1969

A bandorist, composer and an expert in bandore making. Roman is a virtuoso player, jack of all trades who performs academic, folk, improvisational music and creates numerous pieces for bandore. He was a graduate of Kyiv conservatory under professor’s S.Bashtan supervision (1993). Since 1995 Roman has been teaching in this institution. He tours a lot with solo concert programmes. Roman took part in the festival of Iegudi Menuhin “All the World’s Violins” in Brussels (1994) and performed in the USA, Canada, the Netherlands, Germany, Latvia, Belgium. In 1993 he was playing in the concerts “Bandore and Guitar” with a famous guitarist Al di Meola. They continued their collaboration by recording and establishing in the USA a compatible album “Winter Nights” (1999). Roman performed in a group of Anatoliy Aleksanyan (piano) with Volodymyr sorochenko (bass-guitar) and Oleksandr Darov (drums) (1997). For a long term he worked and taught in the USA and Canada. Roman took part in the projects of “the World folk” of Peter Gabriel in 1996-1998. On the beginning of 2003 he organised his own workshop on making and improving bandores.
