Born in 1955

A famous Ukrainian guitar-player. As a musician Oleg has a considerable experience of concert performing. He began his carrier as a performer of pop, rock and blues music and played with best musicians and groups of the Soviet Union. Asyeev has been living and working in Vinnitsa for a long time. In 1999 he created a well-known group, the “Graffiti” and then performed at several jazz festivals. Among the festivals one can admit the festival in Vinnitsa (2000). After successful concerts in Kiev clubs (2001-2002) Oleg decided to leave for the capital of Ukraine. He organised a new group, the “GMG”, almost at once and gathered well-known jazz musicians there, such as Pavlo Shepeta (keyboards), Igor Zakus (bass-guitar), Serhiy Makarov (contrabass), Oleksandr Rukomoynikov (saxophone) and Valeriy Volkov (drums). There are as famous pieces in “jazz rock”, “fusion”, “smooth jazz” styles, as author’s pieces by Oleg Asyeev in the “GMG’s” repertoire. The first solo Asyeev’s CD is ready to be published.
